Kapisa, Paktika IDP families distributed aid items

MAHMOOD RAQI/SHARAN (Pajhwok): Tens of Internally Displace People (IDPs) have been provided assistance in central Kapisa and southeastern Paktika province, an official and a statement said on Friday.

Mohammad Qasim Malakzada, director refugees and repatriation department in Kapisa, said hundreds of families had been displaced due to recent clearing operation in Tagab district.

He said 184 displaced families had been distributed aid items provided by different welfare organizations.

 Khairullah, a displace person, said he left his home due to ongoing operation and was currently facing multiple issues.

Separately, 37 families in Paktika had been provided with food and other necessary items.

The families had been displaced due to insecurity and natural disasters, said a statement from the governor house.

The aid items included 20,000 Afghanis cash, tent, appliances, blankets and others.

The provincial government had been trying to provide assistance to similar families in the future, the statement said.
