ANA soldiers among 13 dead in Uruzgan clash

TARINKOT (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier, 10 Talibaninfo-icon insurgents have been killed as a result of gun battle in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Thursday.

Provincial Deputy Police Chief, Col. Abdul Qayyum, told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash took place in Kotwal area of Tarinkot city between militants and security forces late on Wednesday evening.

He said three ANA soldiers, 10 Taliban were killed and five militants, as many ANA troops and three policemen were wounded.

The Taliban planted landmines in the area thus security forces moved slowly, he added.

There was no word about the clash in Uruzgan from the Taliban.
