Dostum to arrive in Kabul in 10 days

Jul 28, 2017 - 16:17

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum would arrive in Kabul in 10 days to formally announce the launch of Afghanistaninfo-icon Salvation Alliance (ASA), his party spokesman said on Friday.

Dostum, who is also head of the Jumbesh-i-Melli Islami Afghanistan (JMIA), was cornered to his residence and later flew to Turkey after his alleged involvement in sexual assault and detention case.

Former Jawzjan Governor and Jumbesh Member Ahmad Eshchi accused Dostum of keeping him in detention and sexually assaulting him few months back.

Bashir Ahmad Taiang, the JMIA spokesman, said his party made necessary arrangements for the arrival of Gen. Dostum.

On July 24, the plane carrying Dostum was denied landing at the Mazar-i-Sharif Airport by German forces.

Taianj said Dostum would arrive in Kabul in ten days and would formal launch the activities of the newly formed alliance in Afghanistan.
