Kapisa Ulema Council head gunned down

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead the Ulema Council head for central Kapisa province and his bodyguard in the Hesa-i-Doem district on Saturday, an official said.

Governor spokesman Qais Qaderi told Pajhwok Afghan News Maulvi Mohammad Hanifyar and his bodyguard were gunned down in the in the Kham-i-Roba district by two motorcyclists.

He said Hanifyar’s bodyguard was killed on the spot but the Ulem Council head succumbed to his wounds while he was being shifted to hospital.
