Relocation of Afghan refugee camp demanded
PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Local elders have called for shifting an Afghan refugee camp out of a populated area of Pakistan’s northwestern Kohat district.
Elders from Junglekhel area issued the call for relocation of the refugee camps. They also urged the government to return their land occupied by the Afghans for the last three decades.
Pir Adil Shah, a local councilor, accused the refugees of selling their land to the people before repatriation.
According to Dawn, he suggested the refugees be moved to other camps located in unpopulated areas of the district.
